Triplets Eat and Play is a great family friendly restaurant for kids to play and parents to relax
Triplets is a favourite restaurant for families living out in Hang Dong to bring their kids to and it’s well worth a visit if you find yourself on that side of Chiang Mai. And yes, they actually do have triplets!
Modeled after Nics Restaurant and Playground, Triplets provides a more relaxing experience for parents as it’s not packed full of kids and all play areas are easily visible from the outdoor seating areas. For more options, see our listing of restaurants with playgrounds in Chiang Mai.

Eat and play
The most obvious reason to come here is the incredible playground! It’s designed from locally sourced sustainable resources such as bamboo and was built with kids in mind. Modeled after the very successful Nic’s Restaurant and Playground, Triplets Eat and Play offers a similar family friendly set up. There are large rustic tables setup around the incredible bamboo play structure so you can comfortably eat and watch the kids having a blast.
The playground is very kid friendly as kids can swing like Tarzan on the giant hanging rope or imagine being firemen while sliding down the fireman’s pole! There are giant bamboo tubes to crawl through, rope ladders and nets to climb on, slides to swoosh down and more.
The structure is completely covered providing excellent shade and protection from rain. It also has a sandy ground for safe play. A large grassy but treed area surrounds the playscape. You won’t feel too hot in this naturally shaded setting and it will be difficult to get the kids to leave!
Near the playground they’ve put in a large trampoline. We know kids can’t get enough of jumping on trampolines right?! While they’re jumping their socks off, you can set yourself up in one of the hammocks hanging between the trees. Bring a book or hook up to the wifi and relax.
There a couple of swings too for kids who love to get a rush swinging through the air, and we were pleasantly surprised to see they even have a baby swing! I don’t think I’ve ever seen one in Chiang Mai before and my son absolutely loved it and it gave mom a little hands free time too. Bonus!
Get to know the resident rabbits
Bunnies are all the rage at the moment! Many restaurants are getting in on the craze and Triplets is no exception. In the back corner of the play area is the rabbit pen. These bunnies are just for show though as children are not encouraged to feed them or pick them up. They are still cute to look at as they hop around!
Seating
The outdoor seating near the playground is great because you can keep a close eye on the kids. It’s also under the shade of the nearby trees and some of the tables come with hammocks! Triplets Restaurant also has high chairs available so you can enjoy your meal a bit more!
Or, if you’d rather hang out a bit farther away from the kids playing, there’s also an outdoor deck area which is attached to the indoor air conditioned seating area. All options are lovely places to enjoy your food.
Food and Drink
Food
After all the playing and jumping the children will be ready to eat. The menu at Triplets is inspired by the owners’ backgrounds. They serve Mediterranean and Thai food, cooked with organic ingredients as much as possible. The food is delicious although check with the staff about portion size. Some main dishes can be quite small but we’ve found the kids menu portions are perfect.

Triplets Eat and Play makes some of the fanciest kids’ meals in Chiang Mai and they are so delicious! Our daughter’s all time favourite is the Snow White (carbonara) pasta. The pizza is also really good too!
Drinks
Parents can relax and enjoy a nice glass of wine or a local beer. Tea and coffee are both on offer hot or cold. Healthier options include fruit juices, shakes, or delicious smoothies.
Birthday parties
If your child has a birthday coming up, Triplets has started offering birthday packages which are fairly reasonable. Each package includes decorations, music, a reserved sala seating area, a buffet, and drinks. Please contact them for a quote. They will do their very best to meet your needs – all the birthday parties we’ve been to there have been great!

How to get to Triplets Eat and Play Restaurant
You’ll find Triplets quite a bit outside the city in Hang Dong. It will likely take about 30 minutes to get there from the city centre.
You should take a Grab to get here! This is the easiest way to get here, especially if your family is visiting Chiang Mai. While for those who live here, driving there is the best option. There is free parking inside Triplets but you can park on the side streets when the parking is full.
