Why should you stay at Le Meridien by the Marriot in Chiang Mai?

The hotel service
My visit a year ago to Chiang Mai, Thailand included a stay at the Le Meridien hotel. This beautiful hotel by Marriott was the perfect landing spot for us. From the kind service rendered by the staff with their very first bow to our family, I knew we were in for a treat. I must say that the service at the Le Meridien was impeccable throughout our stay. The doormen always seemed to remember us and make us feel extra special. Phenomenal service was definitely the theme throughout our stay.
The room
Our room was spacious and clean. The great thing is that all the standard rooms come with a sofa bed, making it so much easier to accommodate little ones and avoid paying for extra beds. All the rooms are advertised as having Wifi, satellite TV and a bathtub!
The amenities
We enjoyed the swimming pool and the view that it offered to the city. The food we ordered poolside was delicious too!
The lobby is beautiful and the restaurants served great food but the thing that made this the perfect stay was the location.
The location
From the Le Meridien we were able to walk to almost every place we wanted to visit. It was also close to the old city and we were able to walk there and back for a great bike tour of the city. There are many eating establishments and massage parlors nearby as the hotel is very centrally located.
On Sundays, Chiang Mai has the most amazing Night Market with souvenir vendors, cheap foot massages, and great food. We were able to walk quickly to it and then take a fun tuk-tuk ride back to the hotel.
All in all, we were very impressed with the hotel and, if we are lucky enough to return someday, we would definitely stay there again. Whether traveling with a family or adults, the Le Meridien is a great choice to stay in Chiang Mai.
