Why should you stay at Phra Singh Village Chiang Mai?
Alina from The Happy Kid Blog wrote to us with this great recommendation of a kid friendly resort to stay at in Chiang Mai. She highly advises that if you visit Chiang Mai to stay in the old town or at least very close by, especially if you travel with your kids.
Location
Phra Singh Village is located smack in the old city right across the street from Wat Phra Singh making it a perfect location to enjoy everything the city has to offer. Despite being located in the middle of the bustling Old Town, it offers a peaceful and serene atmosphere, where you can relax after exploring Chiang Mai’s streets.
The rooms
Phra Singh Village offers regular double rooms, but also family rooms, which are great if you have a large family or older kids. They are spacious and feature a kitchenette and a balcony facing the mountains. The bathroom is large, with a big hot tub with jacuzzi, an awesome attraction for kids. We could hardly take our son out of it!
The service and extras
We were welcomed at Phra Singh Village with a cold refreshing drink, a tea that was changing its colour when mixed, to the amusement of our kid. He kept asking for a few days if we can have again “the tea that turns purple”.
To explore the city, especially if you have older kids, Phra Singh Village offers free bicycles, which are a great option in Chiang Mai. In the afternoon, you can relax by trying a neck massage in the afternoon or just spend time by the pool.
The breakfast
The restaurant offers a delicious breakfast (typically included in the room price), with a large variety of local or international dishes and sweets. Also, it is one of the few places we’ve been to have kids tableware at the buffet, next to the regular ones. It makes a huge difference when the little ones are treated equal to adults!
How to get to Phra Singh Village?
Its location can be found on Google Maps.
The best way to get there would be to take a taxi from the airport.
