Why your family should stay at 42 Garden Cafe and Resort
The resort has a tropical garden with a ‘natural’ stream running through it that in one section, children are welcome to splash around in and swing on the tree swing! It’s a perfect photo op and a fabulous place to cool off tired feet after excursions around Chiang Mai.
The swimming pool
Their pool has a kiddy pool section along with a small waterslide and water toys available for sale for only 50 baht. You can also rent swim suits in case you forgot yours. The water is a great temperature too. The only downside is that the outsides of the pool are extremely slippery due to a tile floor. The staff work so hard constantly sweeping and pushing the water away so it’s safe to walk for all.
Feed the fish and enjoy the garden
Along one of the boardwalks is an area to feed the koi fish! It’s that added distraction that kids just seem to love and most could do for hours on end. The fish feed costs 10 baht per bag and it’s fun to watch them splash around.
The gardens throughout the resort at 42 Garden Cafe are beautiful. There’s a mist machine that goes off every 15 minutes or so adding that ethereal and magical effect. It’s incredibly peaceful and there are places to sit away from the pool which are nice a quiet for a moment of peace.
What are the rooms like at 42 Garden Cafe and Resort?
The rooms are all surprisingly large and spacious and perfect for families. This particular room would be perfect for large families as the sofas fold down into beds. There is a TV in the upper right hand corner and the room leads right out to the pool area.
The washrooms were also huge, although none have a bath. All rooms and fixtures are brand new with plenty of space.
They’ve also got another family rom which is actually a two bedroom suite where each bedroom has its own room separate from the other with a shared bathroom. This room would be prefect for those with older children who can sleep alone giving parents some cherished alone time and space!
