Din Cafe is a lovely spot for breakfast, brunch or lunch
You’ve probably passed by Din Cafe multiple times on your way up the 1269 (Samoeng Road) towards Lanna Rock Garden or Valley Café and never noticed it was there. Din Cafe is tucked away on the side of the road under wall and tree cover so that you may not see that it was there.
Hidden away inside is a beautiful kid friendly spot to enjoy a meal or a drink and let the kids run around and play.

A Great Spot for the Family in Hang Dong, Chiang Mai
The Playground
Din Cafe’s playground is quite unique. It’s made out of all natural materials including clay and bamboo. It’s small, but the kids don’t seem to mind! The only tricky thing is that it’s mostly in the hot sun and so the slide is quite the butt burner at certain times during the day.
There are also swings which are in the shade where even you can have a go on and enjoy a cold drink or just hang out and watch the kids play. The large grassy area is prefect for tag or if you bring your own badminton rackets etc, a nice spot to play sports.
Toys
Din Cafe also has wooden toys for little ones! This was my son’s favourite park of the whole place actually and he played for a good hour. There were also a few children’s books for those who enjoy reading or for parents who want to read to their kids.
Seating
The majority of seating is outdoors or in a covered veranda type area. They have fans though to keep you cool! There is also some indoor seating, but it’s rather limited and the kids would rather be outside anyways (in most cases, right?!)
The Food and Drinks
I was very impressed with the food and the coffee. This chicken salad was stacked with flavour and meat and was only about 135 baht. The coffee was STRONG and delicious. We would definitely come here again for lunch or brunch. The menu is really limited, and that must be why it’s so good. Other customers were spoke to were also really happy with their food and eat here often.
