What And When Is Children’s Day 2025 Chiang Mai?
It’s every kids’ favourite time of year – Children’s Day in Chiang Mai!
Wan Dek (Children’s Day) is a special day just for kids. On this day, all children enjoy free or discounted events across Chiang Mai.
This occasion is celebrated annually on the second Saturday in January, This year it will take place on January 11th. The emphasis is on fun or sanook as the Thai’s say – anything to put a smile on children’s faces 🙂
Normally many local attractions will offer discounted or free entrance on Children’s Day – although it’s for kids only and there’s usually a height limit and age limit, so bear that in mind. Parents will also have to pay full or a reduced price to join in activities.
You can also expect many local stores to offer free ice cream for kids and local schools will host parties the Friday before the big day with sports, games, and entertainment.
